Tool Introduction

Online Screen Test Enhanced helps you check monitors, laptop panels, phone screens and projectors for obvious defects. Open the page in your browser—no install required. Step through solid colors, light-bleed checks, interference lines, focus and grid patterns, breathing effects, contrast ramps, gradients and saturation to spot dead pixels, stuck pixels, edge glow, unstable images or harsh color transitions.

Dead pixels usually stay black; stuck pixels stay bright or locked to one color. Backlight bleed often appears near edges or corners and is easier to see on a full black screen in a dim room. A full white screen is better for brightness uniformity. Clean the panel first so dust is not mistaken for a defect.

How to Use

  1. Set browser zoom to 100% when possible, and review resolution and device pixel ratio on the home screen.
  2. Press Start, or jump from category shortcuts into dead-pixel, bleed, geometry, contrast or gradient tests.
  3. Use fullscreen while testing; if it is missing, use Fullscreen in the top bar or your system shortcut.
  4. Move between items with click, wheel, arrow keys, space or mobile swipe; move or touch to show the control bar when needed.
  5. On solid colors, inspect edges and corners; on contrast screens, check the hardest neighboring blocks; then end the test to return home.

FAQ

Q: Why does the resolution differ from my system settings?

A: The page shows browser-reported screen and page size. Zoom, multiple displays and OS scaling can change the number.

Q: Fullscreen did not start automatically. What now?

A: Use Fullscreen in the top bar, or your system fullscreen shortcut, then continue testing.

Q: Is every dark speck a dead pixel?

A: Not always. Clean the screen first, then re-check across several solid colors. Specks fixed on the same pixel are more suspicious than dust.

Q: Can this test damage my screen?

A: No. This tool only shows test patterns and will not harm your display. Results are for reference only and cannot replace professional inspection; do not open the panel unless qualified.
